Global financial companies are still grappling with the sluggish economy.

This week, Amazon has started to trim workers in its most profitable division Amazon Web Services, citing the cloud services operation is experiencing slowing sales growth as corporate customers look to trim expenses.

To curtail costs, Indian fintech unicorn Open Financial Technologies has let go 47 employees, in addition to the firm’s founders having taken a 50% cut in their salaries.

Besides, the aftermath of SVB collapse continues striking the global economy. First Republic Bank startled investors by disclosing it had lost $102 billion, or 58%, of its deposits in the first quarter of the year. Also, the bank noted that it would lay off up to 25%.

Many investors saw San Francisco-based First Republic as the next bank that could fail.

On the other hand, multiple banks around the globe are taking advantage of the failure of SVB, making hires from once the cradle for technology startups across the United States, including Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, and Investment bank Moelis & Company, for the purpose of strengthening their leadership. After all, enterprise growth lies in talents.

Despite this, Fazzaco recently found that multiple financial firms, brokerages in particular, are strengthening their compliance teams with new hires. Let's look at what jobs they're offering and what are the responsibilities.

1. Exness​ - Compliance Officer

Exness Group, a global multi-asset broker, is looking for a Compliance Officer, who will be managing group-compliance efforts related to preventing and combating money laundering and developing crypto-compliance capabilities, while reporting directly to the deputy head of compliance. You will collaborate with professionals with diverse skill sets to deliver impactful results on various projects and products.

3 or more years of experience within the CFDs or crypto industry working in a similar role is required, with the level of seniority for the position being.

2. Revolut​ - Support Specialist (Fincrime Analyst - Chargebacks)

Global financial superapp Revolut is seeking Support Specialist (Fincrime Analyst - Chargebacks), who will work in the firm’s Compliance team.

The major responsibilities include reviewing customer claims related to commercial disputes and unauthorised payments, engaging in money recovery in accordance to card scheme rules, detecting and reporting suspicious activity, including first party fraud, etc.

Prior experience in banking in complaints or chargebacks is a plus.

3. FP Markets - Payment Operations Senior Manager

FP Markets is an online Forex and CFD provider, is currently looking to recruit a full-time Payment Operations Senior Manager for employment in its Limassol office.

As part of the team, the role will involve the corporate and banking administration involved with incorporations, online payment solutions and liaising between banks and clients. 

The ideal candidate is required to have 3+ years experience in the financial services or corporate sector, in addition to experience in working with EU and non-EU banking setups.

4. MultiBank Group - Financial Analyst

Online financial derivatives broker MultiBank Group is currently seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join its growing finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for generating daily reports, performing ad-hoc data analysis tasks, and identifying trends in financial performance.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial planning, analysis, and modeling, and possess excellent data analysis skills, with minimum of 3 years of working experience in financial planning, financial analysis and modeling, or other related fields.

5. Capital.com - Client Services Associate

The leading trading platform Capital.com is looking for client services professionals, to join its Global Client Services team here in Melbourne. The role will support the firm’s clients at all levels, assist clients with the KYC procedure, build client trust and satisfaction through professional support and training.

Previous experience in the customer services field, preferably in financial services is required. Knowledge about the CFD industry and relevant products is highly preferable.

6. Bybit - Senior Marketing Campaigns Specialist (MENA)

Cryptocurrency exchange Bybit is hiring a Senior Marketing Campaigns Specialist (MENA). The ideal candidate must have degree in Marketing or Business equivalent, with at least 3 years of experience in marketing.

The role will analyse current user retention, traffic, trading habits and recommend targeted campaigns to optimise user lifetime value of the product, formulate and execute user acquisition campaigns and amplify campaign reach via online and offline channels, etc.

7. Stripe - Risk Operations Associate

Stripe is launching Stripe Delivery Centers - a brand new global team to design, implement and grow Stripe’s operations for the next decade. The Risk Operations Associate will investigate accounts to identify fraudulent merchants, card testing, account takeover, and other fraud vectors, conduct investigations on merchant accounts to support financial partner requirements, assess risk factors and trends of potentially fraudulent activity, etc.

The ideal candidate is required to have experience in risk analysis, investigations or risk operations.
