Fazzaco Exclusive Interview with Anderson: How Forexway Helps Beginners Learn Forex Trading in A Fun and Easy Way

Forexway is an online educational platform that offers animated forex trading videos for beginners. It is known for its experience in the internet industry and forex market, and has attracted investors from 16 countries and regions.
Today, Anderson, the product manager of Forexway, joins Fazzaco to tell us how they help beginners learn forex trading in a fun and easy way.
Fazzaco: Hi Anderson, thank you for joining Fazzaco today. Forexway looks like a professional forex training website. Could you tell us more about it?
Anderson: Forexway is an online educational platform that offers systematic forex trading courses in animated videos and articles for traders at different levels. It has nearly 200 articles and 100+ original animated videos to offer as we speak. Especially the animated videos, independently made by our team, they are making forex learning fun and easy-to-understand. For users at different levels, we separate knowledge into three levels known as Primary, Secondary and University, covering over a thousand topics, such as basic terminology, economic indicators, fundamental analysis, technical indicators, technical analysis, trading strategy and psychology. Users may start from scratch, or elevate themselves in aspects they prefer, based on their own situation, and pick up forex trading knowledge and skills quickly. It is what Forexway aspires to achieve in the first place as well.
Fazzaco: You have mentioned that videos on Forexway are animated. Why did you choose this way of presentation?
Anderson: We have done quite a lot studies and work in the market when we first started Forexway. Most websites out there offering forex training courses are videos featuring traders or analysts as lecturers. They are boring, hard to understand, and not fun at all, so the audience will not finish watching the videos. Everyone is subconsciously built to resist learning. But what if the video is fun? Like we all loved cartoons when we were young, and many still love animation when they become adults. So that was when the idea hit us, which is telling forex stories through cartoon characters in a fun way.
Fazzaco: It is to everyone’s knowledge that making animation takes time. But you have released over 100 episodes. It must be a great project. I believe you have a lot of stories to tell. Could you share some of them with us?
Anderson: We started the project at the end of 2018. We chose a skilled master's image as the protagonist, who happens to fit the mysterious and low key profile of a forex trader. And then there is this young apprentice, who is a symbol of those freshmen who are keen to be in the forex market, but have little knowledge and do things recklessly. Like all fresh traders, he has exactly the same questions and blind spots. So he raises questions for us, which are answered by Dr. Lambeau. Of course, we've had tons of meetings and discussions before we settled down on the original character stories and teaching scenarios, and it took multiple times of changes until we came to where we are now.
We highlighted the personality of the two characters, and added a lot of fun interactions to make the video more entertaining. The whole story begins as they set off to travel around the world. Cities where the world's top five forex exchanges are located are particularly singled out and placed in the story. We then blended regional culture and customs in the video, bringing out forex topics with storytelling and scenario setting. A new teaching pattern is adopted for technical indicators, in order to provide better explanation and case study. All the cases you see are real and verifiable data we selected. When it comes to fundamental analysis, strategy and psychology, we shift to a more vivid way of animated demonstration. It is worth noting that we’ve added tremendous amount of data analysis, and indicators are verified with big data. What's more, all methods are disclosed to traders for them to learn and master. So we have three types of style, which not only give you different experiences, but they also help you digest each topic in different ways, according to what we have concluded from several times of research.
Fazzaco: That is remarkable! Thank you for what you have done. So, what are the targeted countries or regions for your products?
Anderson: Well, Forexway is undoubtedly an international product, which is open to forex traders globally. The website currently comes in Simplified, Traditional Chinese and English. To allow more investors around the world to watch and learn from our videos, our translation team is carrying out a number of localization projects. Languages like Vietnamese, Russian, Hindi, Arabic, and Thai are expected to become available in later versions, so that most countries and regions will be enabled to use Forexway.
Fazzaco: In addition to your videos, I have noticed your articles too. What are they about?
Anderson: Articles are selected essential and solid points on forex, including forex knowledge at different levels too. On the one hand, we wish to offer a variety of ways to learn, and reading is quicker than watching a video, and consumes less data; on the other hand, what you learned from articles may complement videos and vice versa, allowing users to absorb all forex knowledge to the maximum extent.
Fazzaco: Both your articles and videos cover a stepwise teaching, from primary to university. Aren’t they overlapped in some way?
Anderson: Just like what is stated above, that videos and articles are mutually complementary, so they inevitably overlap in some way. But that doesn't affect the role of articles, because articles tend to be more focused on elaborating on essentials and summarizing forex knowledge, while videos are more about letting users understand in a more candid and easier way.
Fazzaco: What other features does your product boast, in addition to the teaching course?
Anderson: Making learning like gaming is what Forexway boasts as a product. Learning, for every one of us, is boring and suffering. It simply goes against our nature. Forexway has more to offer on the mobile end, like the test PK functionality, which hopes to bring a little bit fun to users, so that they could learn while still having fun, and have a sense of joy and accomplishment as they learn about forex. You are welcome to go to App Store or Google Play to download our Forexway app.
Fazzaco: Is your course free or does it charge fees? How could I make sure that I have access to the content fully if I want it?
Anderson: At present, our forex part on the website is partly free and partly not. The Primary section is free-of-charge. To watch all courses, users may purchase Forexway's own virtual currency, Forexway Coins, to buy them. Of course, users are encouraged to share courses to friends, and get free Coins from the website to buy courses by inviting friends.
Fazzaco: Lastly, would you tell us the motivation behind the making of the website?
Anderson: As we've mentioned earlier that we had done many studies before we made Forexway. And we noticed that an increasing number of investors were inclined to learn about forex investment online. There are various websites featuring forex learning. They come in different looks, and offer contents of inconsistent quality, which are quite confusing. So it has become an urgent need for forex investors to find a learning platform offering premium contents for efficient learning. As a result, Forexway would like to take the advantage of the internet, and create a vertical teaching platform that offers entertaining animation-based training for global forex traders, and help more and more users to grasp trading knowledge and skills to achieve wealth appreciation through the provision of efficient and valuable forex contents and courses.
