Fazzaco Reports: Client Account Profit/Loss Ratio of 31 Brokers in April 2024

Fazzaco collected the data of profit/loss ratio of client accounts from 31 brokers in April 2024. The brokers we have in this month-on-month comparison remained the same as last month. The specific data are shown in the table below:

Among the 31 brokers this month, an average of 28.46% of client accounts achieved profits, while 71.54% of client accounts suffered losses. Compared with the average data in March 2024, the winning rate of client accounts decreased by 0.19%.

Among them, Swissquote ranked first with a 39% profit rate of client accounts. The broker had the same winning rate last month.

Valutrades and Hantec Markets come right after together with a 38% profit rate, and Valutrades' data remained unchanged this month.

Other brokers that more than 30% of client accounts winning money include Earn (35.10%), Saxo Bank (35%), FXCM (34%), ADS Securities (33%), Forex.com and Admirals (32%), Markets.com (31.30%), City Index (31%), TeraFX (30.88%), ThinkMarkets and ActivTrades (30%)。

The highest loss rate of client accounts went to Capital Index, with 86.19 out of every 100 clients losing money. In addition, FxPro and Plus500 (81%), and Capital.com (80.84%) all had more than 80% of client accounts losing money.

From the table above, it can be seen that compared with March 2024, among the 31 brokers this month, a total of 4 had a lower month-on-month loss rate (marked green), and 6 brokers had a higher month-on-month loss rate (marked red), and the rest, 21 brokers, remained unchanged (or did not update their data in time).

The broker with the most significant month-on-month improvement was Hantec Markets, of which the loss rate dropped 4% month-on-month. Additionally, Capital.com saw a 3.17% drop, FXDD saw 2.40% down, and Pepperstone saw 0.10% down.

Brokers who witnessed loss rate rise include CMC Markets and IG Group (up 2%), Markets.com (up 3.40%), Saxo Bank (1%), iFOREX Europe (3.75%) and TeraFX (3.49%).

In terms of year-on-year, compared with April 2023, among the 29 brokers (excluding Capital.com and Valutrades), a total of 25 had a lower year-on-year loss rate (marked green), and 4 brokers had a higher year-on-year loss rate (marked red). Among them, the brokers with significant changes include: Admirals (down 12% year-on-year) and eToro (up 7% year-on-year).
