Fazzaco Reports: Client Account Profit/Loss Ratio of 31 Brokers in May 2024

Fazzaco collected the data of profit/loss ratio of client accounts from 31 brokers in May 2023. The brokers we have in this month-on-month comparison remained the same as last month. The specific data are shown in the table below:


Among the 31 brokers this month, an average of 27.93% of client accounts achieved profits, while 72.07% of client accounts suffered losses. Compared with the average data in April 2024, the winning rate of client accounts decreased by 0.53%.
Among them, Swissquote still ranked first with a 39% profit rate of client accounts. The broker had the same winning rate last month.
Hantec Markets comes right after with a 38% profit rate, and its data remained unchanged this month.
Other brokers that have 30% or more of client accounts winning money include Earn (35.20%), Saxo Bank (35%), Admirals and ADS Securities (33%), FXCM (32%), Markets.com (31.30%), City Index and Forex.com (31%), TeraFX (30.88%), ThinkMarkets and ActivTrades (30%).
The highest loss rate of client accounts went to Valutrades, with 85 out of every 100 clients losing money. In addition, Capital Index (84.61%), FxPro (82%), Capital.com (80.84%) and Plus500 (80%) all had 80% or more of client accounts losing money.

From the table above, it can be seen that compared with April 2024, among the 31 brokers this month, a total of 7 had a lower month-on-month loss rate (marked green), and 4 brokers had a higher month-on-month loss rate (marked red), and the rest, 20 brokers, remained unchanged (or did not update their data in time).
The broker with the most significant month-on-month improvement was One Financial Markets, of which the loss rate dropped 5.50% month-on-month. Additionally, Admirals, Plus500 and XTB all saw 1% down, JFD Brokers saw 0.39% down, Earn saw 0.10% down, and Capital Index saw 1.58% down.
Brokers who witnessed loss rate rise include FXCM (up 2%), FxPro and Forex.com (1%), and Valutrades (a staggering 23%).
In terms of year-on-year, compared with May 2023, among the 30 brokers (excluding Valutrades), a total of 25 had a lower year-on-year loss rate (marked green), and 5 brokers had a higher year-on-year loss rate (marked red). Among them, the brokers with significant changes include: One Financial Markets (down 12.30% year-on-year) and eToro (up 7% year-on-year).
