Fazzaco Reports: How 32 Brokers' Client Accounts Fared in July 2023

Fazzaco collected the data of profit/loss ratio of client accounts for 32 brokers in July 2023. The profit/loss ratio of brokers' client accounts this month improved significantly compared with last month. This time, some brokers whose data had not been updated for a long time were excluded to avoid affecting the average data. The specific data are shown in the tables below:


Among the 32 brokers this month, an average of 26.06% of client accounts achieved profits, while 73.94% of client accounts suffered losses. Saxo Bank and ADS Securities topped the list with 35% of its client accounts winning. It is worth noting that Saxo Bank's share of profitable client accounts increased by 8% month-on-month. The other brokers in the top five were JFD Brokers (33.14%), ThinkMarkets (33.05%), City Credit Capital (31.96%) and Teletrade (30.34%). In addition, TeraFX (30.12%), ActivTrades (30.00%), IG Group (30.00%) and London Capital Group (30.00%) also had a profit ratio of over 30%.
The highest loss ratio was Capital Index, with 85.42 out of every 100 clients losing money. In addition, Plus500 (84%), FxPro (83.39%), One Financial Markets (83.1%), Pepperstone (81.7%), Swissquote (80.54%) and XTB (80%) had a 80%+ client accounts losing money.

From the table above, it can be seen that compared with June 2023, among the 32 brokers this month, a total of 11 brokers had a lower month-on-month loss ratio (marked in green), while 6 brokers had a higher month-on-month loss ratio (marked in red), and the rest remained unchanged. Among them, the most significant improvement was iFOREX Europe, whose loss ratio decreased by 11.45% month-on-month. In addition, JFD Brokers (-8.14%), Saxo Bank (-8%), TeraFX (-7.5%), CMC Markets (-6%) and IG Group (-5%) had a loss ratio decrease of more than 5%.
Compared with July 2022, among the 32 brokers, a total of 15 brokers had a lower year-on-year loss ratio (marked in green), while 14 brokers had a higher year-on-year loss ratio (marked in red). Among them, the most significant changes were One Financial Markets (up 16.4% year-on-year) and iFOREX Europe (down 15.21% year-on-year).
