1. OneRoyal Strengthens Executive Leadership with Four New Hires

OneRoyal, a multi-regulated broker, marches into the new year with a strong C-suite as the company has onboarded four senior level professionals for key roles, namely the new Group COO, CFO, CTO, and CMO. 

All new members of the team will be based in Cyprus, as OneRoyal is upgrading its Limassol office to transform it to the global headquarters of the retail arm of the business. The institutional arm of the firm will remain headquartered in Sydney, Australia, where the broker holds an ASIC licence.

2. Pacific Union Taps Ahmed Ragab as Head Of Business Development for MENA

The world leading online CFD broker Pacific Union has appointed Ahmed Ragab as its Head Of Business Development for MENA.

Ahmed enjoys over 20 years of financial services experience, working for local and international companies across MENA. He joins Pacific Union from AFTX, where he worked as Technical Analyst for Global Markets. Prior to that, he has been with ADSS as a freelance Technical Support Analyst for more than 4 years.

3. RADEX MARKETS Announces Partnership with Trading Central

4. Swissquote Reports 49% YoY Increase in Net Revenue in 2021​

Swissquote, an online financial trading services provider, announced its yearly financial results for 2021. The company reported record results for the period, beating its revenue and profit guidance.

The net revenue of the broker for the year came in at CHF 472 million, which is almost 49 percent higher than the previous year's figure.

5. Israel's One Zero Digital Bank Receives Approval for Full Banking Licence

One Zero Digital Bank has received final regulatory approval for a full banking licence, the Bank of Israel said, becoming the first new Israeli bank in 43 years.

Having gained a restricted licence in December 2019, One Zero operated on a trial basis initially but has now met all criteria, including raising the necessary capital.

6. CySEC Issues Warning Against 12 Unauthorized Investment Firms

The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) informs investors that the 12 websites do not belong to an entity which has been granted an authorization for the provision of investment services and/or the performance of investment activities.

7. FCA Issues Warning on Clone of IC Markets

The British financial market supervisor, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), has flagged ICMarkets, which looks like to be a clone of the popular retail brokerage brand headquartered in Australia, for offering services in the United Kingdom without the necessary authorization.

The UK agency has shared two telephone numbers, four email addresses, and a few domains that are used to operate a platform that is imitating IC Markets.
