FCA Releases Whistleblowing Quarterly Data for Q3 2021

The UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has published recently its whistleblowing quarterly data in 2021 Q3 (July-September), unveiling 289 new whistleblowing reports received.
The UK financial watchdog stated that most of its new reports in 2021 Q3 were received via the online reporting form, which was introduced this August, allowing whistleblowers to report with ease at any time.

The Whistleblowing team accept both anonymous and identified whistleblowing reports.
“Protecting the identities of the whistleblowers who contact us is at the heart of what we do. While whistleblowers don't have to provide us with their contact information, it's helpful if we can contact them to understand their concerns further and how we can act without compromising their confidentiality,” said the regulator.

Every report the FCA receives will contain one or more allegations of wrongdoing. That’s why the data shows the FCA received 289 reports but 518 allegations.
