Fiserv Announces its Acquisition of Pineapple Payments

Fiserv, a leading global provider of payments and financial services technology solutions, recently announced that it has reached a deal to acquire Pineapple Payments, a Pennsylvania-based payments technology company. 

Under the terms of the deal, Fiserv will continue to offer Pineapple Payments merchants payment processing services. At the same time, the company will also devote itself to improving its seamless delivery of an array of customer-focused, innovative solutions.

According to the official announcement, the acquisition will expand the reach of market-leading payment solutions from Fiserv, including the CoPilot partner platform, Clover® and Clover Connect, through the technology- and relationship-led distribution channels of Pineapple Payments.

The transaction is subject to customary approvals and closing conditions and is expected to close in the second quarter of 2021. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Let's recall that, Fazzaco reported that Nest Bank has chosen Fiserv as its new provider of payment card outsourcing services​ to launch new services to its customers. The bank will be one of the first in Poland to offer online card issuing, which facilitates the issuance of a fully functional virtual payment card within seconds.
