FMA Warns Against Unregistered Financial Service Provider Assured Digital Bank

The New Zealand's Financial Markets Authority (FMA) recommends exercising caution when dealing with Assured Digital Bank as the regulator is concerned that the bank may be involved in a scam. 

According to FMA, Assured Digital Bank is displaying the NZBN and business address of a registered New Zealand company, Assured Limited, on their website. The regulator does not believe Assured Digital Bank is associated with Assured Limited. 

FMA noted that Assured Digital Bank has threatened one of their clients to invest more funds or the client will face the risk of their account being suspended or frozen.

Assured Digital Bank is offering financial services to New Zealand residents but is not registered as a Financial Service Provider as required by New Zealand financial markets legislation, FMA confirms.
