Former IG Risk Head Appointed Chief Risk & Compliance Officer at ClearBank

Joe McCaughran, formerly a long-serving executive and Group Chief Risk Officer at IG Group, has transitioned to ClearBank, where he has been appointed as the new Chief Risk & Compliance Officer.  

Mr. McCaughran spent over 14 years at IG Group, a UK-based online broker. He initially joined the firm in 2010 as a Compliance Manager. He was promoted to Group Chief Compliance Officer in 2015 and subsequently became Group Chief Risk Officer in 2017. His professional background also includes previous roles at Willis Towers Watson’s OneExchange and JLT Group. Mr. McCaughran holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from Swansea University.
