Former Saxo Bank’s Executive Michael Aagaard Joins OANDA

Fazzaco learned that OANDA, a global leader in online multi-asset trading services, has appointed Michael Aagaard as the company's Digital Assets Consultant.

Michael brings 20 years of experience in the financial markets to the company. In the new position, he will focus on working to assist OANDA in expanding its digital assets offerings.

Prior to OANDA, Michael worked as the Head of Foreign Exchange at Saxo Bank, in charge of the FX products (Spot, Forwards, Swaps, Options and Cryptos) throughout the value chain. He joined the broker in 2002 as a Senior Manager, Business Project and then was moved to the Front Office to serve as a Senior Business Analyst in FX Market Making for the bank.

In 2012, Saxo promoted him to work as the Chief Operating Officer, responsible for executing and coordinating Saxo's business development strategy, reporting to the Global Head of Foreign Exchange.

OANDA has witnesses a wave of executive moves these months. Last month, the company has announced the departures of two senior executives, John Murphy and Melinda Earsdon. Earlier, OANDA has appointed Lucian Lauerman as the company's new Head of Digital Assets. Prior to OANDA, Lucian worked as Global Head of Electronic Distribution at Saxo Bank.
