Fortress Core Connect Obtains FSCA License in South Africa

Fortress Core Connect, a fintech and liquidity infrastructure provider for online brokerages, asset managers, and prop firms, has announced that it has successfully acquired a Category I Financial Services Provider (FSP) license from the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) in South Africa.
This license represents a significant step in Fortress Core's strategy to localize operations and enhance regulatory alignment in key markets. Dany Mawas, CEO of Fortress Core, had previously articulated the company's broader strategic direction, stating, "Fortress Core is focused on scaling our global footprint and deepening our local presence. We're actively in the process of securing new regulatory licenses and operations..." He added that the company is launching new entities to operate more effectively within local frameworks, with a mission "to bridge local ambition with global standards."
The company believes that this strengthened regulatory positioning, combined with its proprietary fintech stack, offers a comprehensive solution for firms looking to establish a presence in the region.
This development follows a period of growth for Fortress Core, marked by strategic partnerships, technology rollouts, and White Label brand activations. The company is reportedly in the final stages of expanding into additional global markets and is set to announce new partnerships in Latin America and Europe, as well as with a leading payments infrastructure provider.
