FSCA issues public warning against Forex Guru Investment

The Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA), South African financial markets regulator, has issued a warning against Forex Guru Investment (Forex Guru) that is conducting unauthorised financial services business and breaching various financial sector laws.

According to the official announcement, the regulator received information that Forex Guru is soliciting money from members of the public and promising them huge returns. The FSCA confirms that Forex Guru is not authorised to render financial advisory and intermediary services.

The FSCA warns that all firms and individuals providing Financial Advisory & Intermediary Services in South Africa have to be registered by them.

It again reminds consumers who wish to conduct financial services with an institution or person to check beforehand with the FSCA on either the toll free number (0800 110 443) or on the website www.fsca.co.za as to whether or not such institution or person is authorised to render financial services.
