FSCA Warns Public Against IQ OPTION LLC

The Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) warns the public to be cautious when doing any financial services business with an entity by the name of IQ OPTION LLC.

The FSCA draws to the attention of the public that IQ OPTION LLC is not authorised or licensed by the FSCA and in particular is not authorised to conduct financial services, or act as an over-the-counter-derivatives provider in South Africa.

The public are cautioned that dealing with a person who is not authorised or licensed in South Africa will prevent them from receiving regulatory protection in South Africa.

The FSCA warns that members of the public should always check that an entity or individual is registered with the FSCA to provide Financial Advisory & Intermediary Services and what category of advice it is that the entity is registered to provide. 

It again reminds consumers who wish to conduct financial services with an institution or person to check beforehand with the FSCA as to whether or not such institution or person is authorised to render financial services.
