FTMO OANDA acquisition: financial charts and trading screens

The FTMO OANDA acquisition cost over 8.79 billion Czech koruna (about $422 million), according to FTMO's annual filings. The deal, which closed on 1 December 2025, saw FTMO take over the broker from CVC, which had bought OANDA in 2018 for $160 million.

The acquisition price was previously estimated by a source cited by Czech media e15, who said FTMO would have paid "hundreds of millions of dollars and, in terms of crowns, higher units of billions of crowns." FTMO's parent company secured a $250 million line of credit from a syndicate of Czech banks led by UniCredit in November 2025 to fund the deal, Finance Magnates earlier reported.

FTMO OANDA acquisition: Strong Revenue Growth Driven by Returning Clients

FTMO's parent company, OHM, closed 2025 with consolidated revenue of 8.9 billion Czech koruna (about $427 million), a 30% increase year-on-year. The growth was driven overwhelmingly by FTMO's core prop trading operations, where paid orders rose nearly 50% to 1.27 million over the year.

Returning clients now account for close to 80% of FTMO's total revenue, giving the business a stable and predictable income base, while the average value of each subsequent customer order continues to climb.

US Expansion and Balance Sheet Growth

The group's expansion into the US market marked one of the year's most significant strategic developments. Through its partnership with OANDA, the US became FTMO's second-largest market, trailing only the UK. FTMO launched prop services in the US last year, partnering with OANDA even before the acquisition deal was closed, after its exit from the market in early 2024. It is now the only prop firm in the country to offer the MetaTrader 5 platform, which it can do because of OANDA's licensed business there.

The group's balance sheet also expanded substantially over the course of the year. Total consolidated assets reached 30.7 billion Czech koruna (about $1.47 billion) as of 31 December 2025, reflecting both organic investment in FTMO's core business and the consolidation of OANDA's asset base following the deal's completion. Consolidated equity stood at 13 billion Czech koruna (about $625 million) at year-end.
