Fusion Markets Appoints Torrell Fernandes as Head of Sales

Fusion Markets, an Australia-based Retail FX and CFDs broker, has announced the appointment of Torrell Fernandes as its new Head of Sales. Mr. Fernandes joins Fusion Markets after five years at IG Group, where he previously managed the Premium Clients Desk in Australia before his departure mid-last year. His prior experience also includes a tenure at GO Markets.

Fusion Markets was founded in 2019 by Phil Horner, a former CEO of Pepperstone. The company operates both an ASIC-licensed business and an offshore unit regulated in Vanuatu. It is run from Melbourne by Mr. Horner, who serves as CEO, and General Manager Xavier Herrera, another former Pepperstone executive.

Torrell Fernandes shared insights into his new role on social media, stating, "After some time away from the brokerage industry to focus on family and reset, I'm excited to be stepping back in at Fusion Markets with fresh perspective and energy." He reflected on his time as a full-time parent, describing it as "incredibly rewarding, supporting my partner's return to full time work" and "a chapter full of chaos, laughs and memories...with plenty of snacks!"
