FX Sales Veteran Kevin Gillespie Joins Nomura's Laser Digital

Kevin Gillespie, a seasoned FX sales expert with over three-decade exprience in the financial industry, has moved to Laser Digital, Nomura's digital assets subsidiary, leading FX Distribution business.

Kevin joins Laser Digital from Menai Financial Group, a market maker in Spot FX and Digital Assets, where he served as Institutional Sales, FX and Digital Assets. During this period, he was building client partenrships at Menai for the long term.

Prior to that, Kevin worked at Spotex, which provides FX technology and liquidity solutions to leading global brokers and institutions, as Director of Institutional Sales for over two years. At CobaltFX, a leading provider of credit & post-trade FX infrastructure, he was responsible for sales and business development.

Between march 2015 and August 2017, Kevin was Director, FX Sales at Hotspot, a BATS Global Markets company. Previously, he spent more than eight years at Knight Capital Group, holding the role of VP FX Sales, with remits of selling the firm’s FX liquidity offering to buy-side, bank and broker/dealer firms.

Kevin served as Head of New Business Development at IFX Markets from May 2003 to November 2007.

Last month, Fazzaco reported that Laser Digital has acquired​ Elysium Technology Group, a leading provider of post-trade solutions for over-the-counter (OTC) FX and digital assets.
