FXCM Appoints Eleni Siouti to Head Its Cyprus Entity

Retail FX and CFD broker, FXCM Group, has recently appointed Eleni Siouti as CEO &Executive Director of its Cyprus entity FXCM EU Ltd.
FXCM has received a fresh regulatory license from the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) just ahead of the Brexit transition period expiry. Issued on November 23, 2020, the Cyprus Investment Firm (CIF) license was awarded to the locally formed entity FXCM EU Ltd.
Before the announced appointment, Eleni Siouti has been with FXCM for over twelve yeas. She joined the broker as Institutional Partnership and Operations Manager from 2009, based in Athens, Greece.
Further, she has taken the role as Senior Manager at FXCM South Africa for over three year and as Legal representative at FXCM Hellas for two years. Other stops include MANAGER'S OFFICE HELLAS and OTE SA.
Until now FXCM has been servicing EU based clients out of FCA licensed FXCM UK in London. However that will end when the calendar turns to 2021, marking the end of the Brexit transitional phase for financial institutions utilizing the EU-UK license passport.
The company actually set up FXCM EU Ltd in Cyprus in late 2019, and spent the better part of 2020 in an application process for a CIF license from Cypriot regulator CySEC.
