FXCM Begins Migrating Tradu CFD Accounts Amid Group Restructuring

7b4130afa19f2ebaca7be28eed4b9de.jpegFXCM has started transferring CFD trading accounts from the Tradu platform onto its own systems, marking another step in a wider restructuring effort across the group.

In a notice sent to users, traders who do not wish to have their CFD accounts migrated were instructed to close all open positions and withdraw any remaining funds ahead of the planned migration date of March 20. After that point, CFD accounts will no longer be accessible through Tradu.

The company said the change is intended to centralize leveraged trading activity within FXCM. “To provide you with a more powerful trading environment, we are consolidating our leveraged trading products under FXCM,” the communication stated. It added that FXCM and Tradu operate within the same corporate group, allowing clients access to trading tools and analytics designed for active traders.

The migration follows a period of organizational changes and cost-cutting across the business. The group has already rebranded some European operations under the Stratos Markets name and announced layoffs. FXCM and Tradu CEO Brendan Callan said the firms had reviewed strategic priorities heading into 2026, noting that these decisions “do have an impact on the make-up of the team.” He also pointed to increased use of agentic AI tools as a way to streamline operations and improve customer experience.

Earlier reports indicated that the company is preparing to cut more than 100 jobs across multiple functions and locations, as profitability remains under pressure despite improved revenue performance at the UK entity. Public filings show FXCM UK’s client trading volumes declined 19% year-on-year to $243 billion, while client cash balances fell nearly 30%. Although turnover more than doubled, the unit still recorded a loss of around $2 million.

Alongside these changes, Tradu has continued to roll out product and infrastructure updates. The platform recently enabled UK traders to place spread bets directly from TradingView charts, allowing analysis and execution within a single workflow. Tradu has also partnered with open banking provider Salt Edge to strengthen authentication, support PSD2 compliance, and enhance security for European retail clients.
