FYNXT Successfully Clears First ISO 27001 Surveillance Audit

Singapore-based fintech company FYNXT, which provides digital front office solutions for multi-asset brokers, recently passed its first annual surveillance audit for the ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification. Achieving this prestigious international standard for information security management in 2022 was a major milestone for the company, and maintaining it requires continuous efforts and firm commitment.
Ensuring the security of sensitive client and company data is critically important for FYNXT. The ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification validates that the company has implemented rigorous controls and best practices for managing information risks and safeguarding the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information.
Aeby Samuel, CEO & Founder at FYNXT, stated that, "Successfully clearing our first ISO 27001 surveillance audit is a testament to FYNXT's unwavering commitment to excellence in information security. This achievement reinforces our dedication to safeguarding the trust and privacy of our clients' sensitive data. I commend our ISO team and every employee for their dedication and hard work in upholding the highest standards of information security."
Maintaining Compliance Through Continuous Improvement
Earning the initial certification was an important achievement, but the real test is continuously maintaining the standard. The annual surveillance audits assess the robustness of FYNXT's information security management system (ISMS). The company knew that ongoing vigilance and effort would be required to pass these checks, so employees have worked diligently over the past year.
The ISO team at FYNXT, comprising cross-functional ISO pillars and champions from various departments, led activities to continuously improve policies, processes and controls based on the Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle. The team demonstrated fulfilment of the ISMS requirements to auditors from the certifying body, DQS, when they arrived to conduct the audit.
The audit reviewed processes and documentation related to areas like security policies, asset classification, human resources and training, physical office security, network security, incident management, and business continuity planning. Auditors interviewed several FYNXT employees to verify understanding and compliance with defined information security responsibilities.
After a thorough 3-day assessment spanning 25 hours, the auditors determined that FYNXT's ISMS continues to meet the requirements of the ISO/IEC 27001:2013 standards. This successful surveillance audit underscores the company's dedication to information security as an embedded culture and continuous process. The certification builds confidence among FYNXT's clients in information security and privacy protection as the company grows.
Acknowledging the Team
FYNXT congratulates and thanks its ISO team and all employees whose commitment to upholding information security practices in their daily work ensured this positive outcome. Together, the company demonstrated that it does not just pursue certifications as one-time projects, but ingrains information security in everything it does to truly earn client and stakeholder trust.
While the next annual audit may be a year away, FYNXT's ISO 27001 journey never ends. Dedication to rigorous information security is integral to the company's identity and success serving the fintech industry. This achievement motivates FYNXT to continue raising the bar.
