Gemini Extends European Footprints, Launches Crypto Services in Ireland

Fazzaco learned that cryptocurrency exchange Gemini has officially launched crypto services in Ireland, enabling customers and institutions to deposit, trade, and custody around 100 cryptocurrencies, including bitcoin, ether, and DeFi tokens.

According to the official press release, clients can open an account via Gemini website or mobile app to securely buy cryptocurrencies with Euros (EUR) and Pound Sterling (GBP) with a debit card, bank transfer, or using Apple Pay or Google Pay.

Moreover, Gemini will offer financial institutions, fintechs, and other corporations access to the company's institutional-grade, crypto-native platform, where they can access custody, clearing, trade execution, price discovery, and portfolio management services, all in one place.

Let's recall that, Gemini has received the first Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) registration​ from the Central Bank of Ireland in July this year. The VASP registration allows the exchange to provide its crypto services to individuals and institutions in the Irish market.
