German BaFin Flags Eight New Unauthorized Investment Websites

The German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority, BaFin has issued warnings against eight new investment websites whose operators are providing financial and investment services without the required authorisation, from April 1 to April 10. 

The detailed information of these websites are as follows:

• xhpxomg.com, xhpxbuy.com and xhpxpro.com (identical)

According to information available to BaFin, the operator is providing financial and investment services on xhpxomg.com, xhpxbuy.com and xhpxpro.com without the required authorisation.

The three websites are completely identical. The operator of these websites refers to itself in some cases as "XHPX Global Pro", but does not offer any information about its legal form. It claims that its head offices are in Canada, but does not provide a full business address or legal notice. Further branches supposedly exist in a number of East Asian countries. It is noteworthy that the operators name a court of arbitration in Belize as the purported competent court for legal disputes.

• ft-global24.com (identity fraud)

It is suspected that the unknown perpetrators are offering banking business and financial and investment services by telephone and currently via the website www.ft-global24.com without the required authorisation. They pretend to offer fixed-term deposit contracts and investments in shares. They give the impression that these are offers from First Trust Global Portfolios Management Limited, German Branch, Munich, which is supervised by BaFin. This is false. This is a case of identity fraud. There is also no connection with First Trust Global Portfolios Management Limited, Dublin, which is supervised by the Central Bank of Ireland.

The website operator Rotham/Rotham Investment Management are not supervised by BaFin.

The operators claim that consumers can trade in shares, bonds, currencies, commodities and crypto assets on this website.

The website does not contain any information on the operator or its registered office. The nearly identical website liffedc.com is no longer active.
