German BaFin Flags Three New Unauthorized Investment Websites

The German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority, BaFin this week has issued warnings against three new investment websites whose operators are providing financial and investment services without the required authorisation. 

The detailed information of these websites are as follows:

• eatradingcenter.top

According to information available to BaFin, the operator of the website refers to itself as "EATradingcenter" without providing any information about the legal form. The website does not contain a legal notice. The operator claims to have its registered office in London, United Kingdom; a full business address is not given. Except for its name, the website is identical to the websites tradecentrix.net, cmginternal.org, stateinvestments.co.uk, and eatradingcenter.io regarding which BaFin already issued warnings on 1 November, 5 December and 15 December 2023.

The website operator AIX Trader is not supervised by BaFin.

• ​heptagoninvestments.org

BaFin is currently investigating the unknown operator of the website. The website is not operated by the British company Heptagon Capital LLP. This is a case of identity theft targeting the aforementioned company, which is registered with the British Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). BaFin issued warnings on 19 and 31 January 2024 regarding the identical websites heptagoninvestments.com and heptagoninvestments.net.
