Fazzaco learned that Global Kapital Group (GKG), the global financial services conglomerate in Turkey, has transferred the ownership of its main FX brokerage businesses GKFX and GKPro to Trive Financial (Trive), a company based in Amsterdam.

Controlled by Turkish businessman Kasim Garipoğlu, GKG has turned its strategic orientation to other sectors of its business, including real estate investment and hospitality but excluding finance. Mr. Garipoğlu, an investor in Trive, decided to transfer some of his financial investments under this group, which includes GKFX and GKPro.

Before the new restructuring move, GKG/GKFX/GKPro conducted its first few years ago. In order to face Brexit, GKG transferred ownership and operation of its GKFX Retail FX and CFDs business to a Malta based subsidiary, AKFX Financial Services Ltd, in 2019, which enables GKFX to continue its retail business in EU. Besides, its institutional brokerage business in London was kept run by the subsidiary GKFX Financial Services Ltd and rebranded GKPro.

Trive has built an excellent management team that is led by Chairman and CEO Engin Çubukçu, who joined GKG in 2017 as chairman of its brokerage division. The company also renamed AKFX(Malta licensed company) to Trive Financial Services Malta Limited, and GKFX Financial Services (FCA licensed entity in the UK) to Trive Financial Services UK Limited.

Prior to its buyout from GKG, Trive has added broker Trive Yatırım to its network to expand into Turkey.
