Goldman Sachs has further strengthened its Brazilian opreation by selecting its long-time employee Cristina Estrada as Co-Head of Investment Banking Brazil.
In her new role, Cristina will work closely with Ricardo Bellissi, who has been serving as Co-Head of Investment Banking Division, Brazil since 2019. She will be transferred from New York to Brazil and will integrate the Brazil Management Committee.
As seen on her Linkedin profile, Cristina joined Goldman Sachs in July 2001 and spent for nearly 18 years with this firm. She posted the following on social media about her new position,
"What a special week - I am honored to become co-head of Goldman Sachs Investment Banking Brazil alongside Ricardo Bellissi. Together, we will continue to focus on enriching our leading franchise in the country by driving commercial opportunities, advising on important strategic initiatives and working to further enhance our client footprint.
Looking back I am incredibly grateful for my start at the firm as an analyst in 2001 and am so looking forward to embarking on this new journey ahead."
As Fazzaco reported earlier, Goldman Sachs is expanding Transaction Banking (TxB) to the European Union. Originally launched in the US in 2020 and expanded to the UK in 2021, this growth will deepen Goldman Sachs' relationships with existing clients who have banking needs in the EU and allow the bank giant to serve new clients across the Continent.
