Halifax Liquidator KPMG Releases Investor Distribution Update

KPMG, the Liquidator of Halifax Investment Services Pty Ltd, released an update regarding distribution to investors.

As at the date of this update, the Liquidators have distributed shares valued at approximately AUD 18m (at the date of transfer) to eligible Category 3 and Category 5 Investors, and are continuing to progress the transfer of shares to remaining eligible Investors.

The Liquidators have also commenced making an initial payment of a partial interim distribution (Interim June 2022 Distribution) to Investors who submitted their claim via the Investor Portal within 35 days following provision of the Distribution Notice (i.e., by 29 March 2022) where the claim has been reviewed and accepted by the Liquidators.

Further payments will be released and paid in AUD to the bank account nominated by Investors within the Investor Portal, as and when the Liquidators progress the necessary adjudication and review work required.

Some Investors will not receive an Interim June 2022 Distribution for various reasons including:

• You did not submit your claim within 35 days following provision of the Distribution Notice (i.e., by 29 March 2022).

• The Liquidators may still need to cross reference identity information against third party documentation and Halifax account records.

• You have lodged a dispute in relation to your account balance.

• The Liquidators require additional information from you.

Investors will receive an email update from the Liquidators advising when their distribution has been paid. Please continue to monitor your inbox.

The Liquidators intend to make further distributions once all claims are adjudicated, disputes resolved, and Category 3 and Category 5 Investor share transfers are completed.

In addition, they are continuing to review Investor claims which are yet to be determined or resolved as quickly as possible and will update those Investors as matters progress.
