Hargreaves Lansdown Approved the Election of Adrian Collins and Penny James

Fazzaco learned that Hargreaves Lansdown PLC (LON:HL), the UK direct-to-investor investment and online trading firm,   has just reported the results of the annual general meeting, including the election of Adrian Collins and Penny James as directors. Over 99% of the votes were in favor of the resolutions proposing the election of Adrian Collins and Penny James.

Penny James has lots of experience in strong leadership skills, financial and risk expertise, strategic thinking and cultural alignment. In November 2017, Penny has joined Direct Line Insurance Group plc as Chief Financial Officer, and since May 2019, she has been the Chief Executive Officer of the company.

She previously worked as many roles at Prudential plc, including Group Chief Risk Officer and Director of Group Finance. Before it, she was Group CFO at Omega Insurance Holdings Limited, and CFO, UK General Insurance, at Zurich Financial Services. From 2015 to 2017, She was previously a Non-Executive Director of Admiral Group plc.

Adrian Collins has over 45 years experience in the fund management business. From 2009 to 2019, he worked as Chairman at Liontrust Asset Management, where he oversaw a transformation in the business, expanding its investment and distribution capabilities and operating numerous acquisitions.

He has abundent experience across fund management and adjacent sectors, working for Gartmore, Trustnet (which he co-founded), Jupiter, Bestinvest and Lazard Investors. He is an experienced non-executive director.
