Hargreaves Lansdown Taps Darren Pope to Group Board as Non-executive Director

​Hargreaves Lansdown PLC, a UK-based direct investment and online trading company, announced the appointment of Darren Pope to the Group Board of Directors as a Non-Executive Director, effective from 1 September 2022. He will also join the Audit and Risk Committees of its board on the same day the company appoints its Audit Chair.

Darren brings extensive experience in the financial sector to Hargreaves Lansdown PLC, having held roles of leadership in varies companies. Previously, he was Non-Executive Director, chair of Audit Committee and Senior Independent Director of Equiniti, a UK-based financial services company, and CFO of TSB Bank, a UK-based commercial bank. Darren is currently a Director of several firms, including Silicon Valley Bank, Network Internationa and Virgin Money.

The company has appointed a number of new board members over the past year. Last October, Adrian Collins and Penny James were successfully elected to its board of directors at the annual general meeting, following the appointment of Penny James as Senior Independent Director Last June.
