HFM Appoints Evagoras Kountouris as Chief of Staff

Online brokerage HFM has appointed Evagoras Kountouris as Chief of Staff, according to an announcement by Kountouris on LinkedIn. Kountouris brings more than 15 years of experience across fintech, online brokerage and regulated financial markets.

Kountouris joins HFM from Libertex Group, where he served as Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Financial Officer from July 2021 to October 2026. In a LinkedIn post, he said: "I am delighted to share that have joined HFM as Chief of Staff."

Before Libertex, Kountouris held senior leadership positions at established online brokerages. Between August 2018 and June 2021, he was Group CFO, Board Member and Executive Director at Markets.com. Earlier, he spent five years as Group CFO at FxPro, having joined the brokerage in September 2013.

Kountouris began his financial services career at PwC, working as an Assistant Manager between 2008 and 2013. He is an Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) and holds an MSc in Mathematics and Finance from Imperial College London and a bachelor's degree from the University of Manchester.
