HKFE Obtains CFTC Certification for Non-USD MSCI Contracts

The Hong Kong Futures Exchange has received CFTC certification for its SGD Singapore futures contract and two JPY Japan contracts.
The US CFTC (Commodity Futures Trading Commission) has certified three more HKFE (Hong Kong Futures Exchange) broad-based equity index contracts, allowing them to be offered and sold to persons in the US.
The three contracts that received certification are:
- MSCI Singapore Free (SGD) Index Futures
- MSCI Japan (JPY) Index Futures
- MSCI Japan Net Total Return (JPY) Index Futures
Last week HKFE announced CFTC certification for two broad-based Taiwan equity index contracts.
- MSCI Taiwan 25/50 (USD) Index Futures
- MSCI Taiwan 25/50 Net Total Return (USD) Index Futures
All five contracts of the above contracts were launched late last month.
In July, CFTC certification was granted to 23 other MSCI contracts listed on the HKFE.
