Fazzaco learned that HSBC has announced the appointment of Matt Bowen as Head of Securities Financing, Americas, effective immediately.

In his new role, Mr Bowen will be based in New York and will report to Loic Lebrun, Global Head of Prime Finance, and Jean-Michel Meyer, Global Head of Repo.

As seen on his Linkedin profile, Mr Bowen joins HSBC from BNP Paribas, where he served as Managing Director. Before this role, Deutsche Bank utilised his services as Managing Director from June 2008 to December 2020. Prior to Deutsche Bank, Mr Bowen worked at Bank of America, where he spent for two years. Mr Bowen's career began at Lehman Brothers, then he left the company after 11 years.

"We’re pleased to welcome Matt to HSBC. He will lead the build-out of our US Arranged Financing proposition, to help grow our footprint with US institutional clients, connecting them to our global network," commented Lebrun.

As Fazzaco reported earlier, HSBC has launched HSBC MarketSpace, a platform that enables clients to access post-trade services and solutions from HSBC and other third party service providers.
