HTFX Ceases Global Operations Following UK and Cyprus Regulatory Exits

The broker's primary website, htfx.com, is no longer operational and currently displays a parked domain page, indicating that the company's offshore business has likely been shut down.

Founded by Chinese entrepreneur Lijun Li, HTFX previously operated through multiple regulated entities. These included HTFX Limited in the United Kingdom, authorised by the UK's Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) to serve professional and institutional clients, HTFX (EU) Ltd, regulated by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) for European clients, and an offshore entity based in Vanuatu that primarily targeted retail traders across the Asia-Pacific region.

The group's regulatory footprint had already begun to shrink earlier this year. HTFX voluntarily surrendered its CySEC investment firm (CIF) licence, while its FCA authorisation in the UK was cancelled on 10 April 2026. The UK entity had been led by industry veterans Levy Benarroch and Stephen Williams.

With the offshore website now offline, the remaining HTFX business also appears to have ceased operations, effectively bringing the broker's global activities to an end.

HTFX's closure adds to a growing list of FX and CFD brokers that have exited multiple jurisdictions in recent years amid rising regulatory requirements, higher compliance costs, and increasing competition across the global online trading industry. While the company has not issued an official public statement regarding its closure, the removal of its primary website and the loss of its regulatory licences indicate that the HTFX brand is no longer active.
