Huobi Onboards Alex Pack as Corporate Investment Advisor

Cryptocurrency exchange Huobi Group announced the latest appointment to its team, Dragonfly Capital's co-founder and former managing partner Alex Pack. This addition to the company aims to strengthen its venture investment efforts.

Pack brings a wealth of experience and unique Western perspective to the team. In his new role, Pack will serve as Corporate Investment Advisor, and will work closely with Huobi's investment operations led by Chief Investment Officer Sharlyn Wu. Additionally, he will be responsible for improving upon Huobi’s investment thesis and expand its overseas presence.

Before joining the exchange, Pack was served as the co-founder and former managing partner of Dragonfly Capital for two years. Prior to this, Pack was also Bain Capital Ventures's Director of Network Investing, where he spent for 2 years. During his career, Pack served as a Partner for AngelList.

Commenting on the new appointment, Sharlyn Wu, Huobi’s Chief Investment Officer, said: “Alex has one of the sharpest minds in crypto. Not only does he understand the macro impact of DeFi and crypto, he’s also able to drill down into the specifics of different projects.”

“Sharlyn and I have known each other for years, and I have always regarded her as one of the most long term, visionary crypto thinkers in China. That’s why I was excited when I heard that she was joining Huobi, which is one of the most important companies in crypto,” added Alex Pack.
