Fazzaco learned that Huobi Group, a world-leading company in the digital economy industry, has received a green light from the Financial Services Commission of the British Virgin Islands for operating a virtual assets exchange in this British Overseas Territory.
The Investment Business License issued to Brtuomi Worldwide Limited (BWL), a local subsidiary of Huobi, extends Huobi's capabilities in the digital asset area by operating an institutional-grade virtual assets trading platform for both professional and retail investors.
According to the official announcement, BWL will offer spot (cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum), derivatives (such as Perpetual and Calendar futures), as well as other innovative products.
The announcement came after Huobi Group granted MVP provisional approval by the Dubai Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) on July 15, 2022.
