Kalaitzis brings extensive leadership experience across the financial services industry. Commenting on his new role, he said he is “very excited to join IC Markets” and looks forward to making IC Funded “as successful as IC Markets.”

Prior to joining IC Markets, Kalaitzis served as Deputy CEO and Chief Strategy Officer at FunderPro for over a year. He also held senior roles at Tools for Brokers, including Managing Director and Sales Manager. Earlier in his career, he worked as Managing Director and COO at The Trading Pit, Chief Experience Officer at NAGA, and Head of Client Services for Listed Derivatives at Tickmill.

IC Funded offers a proprietary trading program designed for professional traders, with the company stating that its goal is to further grow the program and expand its footprint within the global trading industry.

Alongside its leadership appointments, IC Markets has remained active in brand partnerships and sponsorships. The broker recently signed a sponsorship agreement with Australian tennis player Alexei Popyrin ahead of the 2026 season. It was also named the official forex trading partner of the MoneyGram Haas F1 Team, with branding featured prominently on the car, including the nose, front wing, halo, and cockpit headrests.

While prop firms provide traders with access to capital and structured development pathways, discussions also noted ongoing challenges such as evaluation processes and short-term performance requirements. Despite these limitations, prop trading programs are gaining broader acceptance and are increasingly seen as complementary to traditional brokerage offerings.

Together, brokers and prop firms are forming a more comprehensive framework that supports disciplined trading, expands market participation, and contributes to the continued growth of the retail trading industry.
