ICE Experiences Significant Drop in Volumes of FX and Other Financial Products for June 2023

Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. (ICE), a leading global provider of data, technology and market infrastructure, has posted its trading data for June 2023, recording the total volumes of overall financial products of 53,512,364 contracts, a decrease of 18.9% compared to 65,953,352 contracts in June 2022.
More specifically, the exchange registered a total volume of interest rates contracts of 40,481,921, 19.2% lower than 50,079,159 contracts in last June. The Average Daily Volume (ADV) of interest rates was 1,840,087 contracts, 436,238 contracts lower than 2,276,325 contracts in June 2022.
Total volume of equity indices came in at 12,429,406 contracts, down 16.0% compared to 14,800,078 contracts in the same period of last year. ADV of equity indices decreased from 704,766 contracts to 591,876 contracts on a yearly basis.
Total volume of FX and other financial products for the month amounted to 601,037 contracts, a significant decrease of 44.0% compared to 1,074,115 contracts in June 2022. ADV of FX and other financial products decreased from 51,148 contracts in last June to 28,621 contracts.
