IG Group CCO Bridget Messer to Step Down

IG Group Holdings plc, a global online trading company providing CFDs and forex, announced that Bridget Messer, Executive Director and the Group's Chief Commercial Officer, had advised the Directors of her intention to step down from her role"for family reasons".

According to the company's press release, Bridget will continue in her role to support an orderly transition over the coming months and will remain as a director of the Company until the date of the AGM, scheduled for 22 September, but will not stand for re-election.

Bridget joined IG as a lawyer in May 2005. She was promoted as General Counsel and Head of Compliance in April 2010 after holding a number of roles within the legal function. In March 2011 she was appointed as Group Company Secretary and worked as Chief Commercial Officer in September 2015, reporting directly to the Chief Executive.

IG CEO June Felix extended her thanks to Bridget on behalf of the Board, commented: "Bridget has made an invaluable contribution to the Group throughout her tenure with the company. Her knowledge on commercial and regulatory matters have been greatly appreciated, as well as the role she has played in building the values and culture that have helped drive IG's success. We thank Bridget for her dedication and wish her well."
