IG Group COO Jody Dunn to Depart After 24-Year Tenure
Jody Dunn, Chief Operating Officer of IG Group, will step down later this year, concluding a nearly 24-year career with the UK brokerage. Her departure marks the end of a tenure that began in 2002 when she joined as employee number 122 and saw the firm evolve into a FTSE 100 company.
Dunn announced her decision in a personal update, stating she had "made the call to leave IG." She reflected on her career, thanking colleagues and noting she had "learnt a lot, laughed a lot and lost A LOT of bets," a nod to the firm's trading-floor culture. She was appointed COO in April 2024, having previously held senior roles including Head of Risk and Head of Market Risk.
Dunn cited personal priorities for her departure, writing, "Life is bloody short," and plans to spend more time with family, including a seven-week trip to South America. She expects to consider her next career move in September.
