IG Group Issues Update on Net Trading Revenue for H1 FY21
IG Group, an award-winning, multi-product trading company, announced that it has issued its scheduled update on its net trading revenue for the six months to 30 November 2020 ("H1 FY21"), which represents the first and second quarters of the financial year ending 31 May 2021 ("FY21").
Driven by elevated trading volumes, the company's total revenue in the second quarter of FY2021 hit nearly £207 million, similar to the previous quarter's £209 million but significantly higher than Q2 FY20's £120.8 million.
The broker attributed the elevated trading volumes to its active client base, which has now materially increased in size over the prior year, benefitting from a continuation of strong client acquisition.
Furthermore, net trading revenue for the first six months of the current financial year is expected to be around £416 million, up from the previous year's £249.9 million.
IG's vision is to provide the world's best trading experience. Established in 1974 as one of the world's first providers of financial derivatives to retail traders, it continued leading the way by launching the world's first online and iPhone trading services.
