IG Group Non-Exec Director Jim Newman to Step Down

Spread betting and contracts for difference (CFD) provider IG Group announced a key move in its board. Jim Newman will retire from the role of Non-Executive Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee, effective on December 30, 2020. 

Newman, a qualified chartered accountant, will be replaced Andrew Didham who will assume the responsibilities as chair of the audit committee.

Before joining IG in 2013, Newman was served as Finance Director at Resolution plc, where he spent for 4 years. He also spent ten years at Aviva’s UK life insurance business. During his career, Newman was the Corporate Development Director for Friends Life Group.
