89037bc273ead40a451bc9bea2a918a.jpegIG Group has announced record financial results for the 12 months to 31 December 2025, with total revenue rising 7% to £1.12 billion. Organic revenue increased 6% to £1.10 billion, while net trading revenue grew 10% to £1.00 billion, driven by higher client activity.

EBITDA edged up 1% to £531.1 million, though margins contracted to 47.3%. Adjusted earnings per share rose 5% to 115.3 pence, supported by share buybacks, with a new £125 million repurchase program announced. CEO Breon Corcoran stated the results demonstrate the platform's strength in large, fast-growing markets.

Active customers surged 174% to 742,100, primarily due to the acquisition of Freetrade. Excluding acquisitions, the organic active client base grew 6%. First trades increased 81%, reflecting robust demand. The company has expanded its product suite with zero-commission mutual funds and pensions, moving further into long-term investing.

Concurrently, IG has initiated a strategic review to explore options for enhancing shareholder value, including potential M&A, changes to listing venue, or business unit combinations. The outcome is expected in autumn 2026.

The group is also expanding internationally, having acquired Australian crypto exchange Independent Reserve and launching spot crypto trading. Further expansion into Singapore and the UAE is planned for late 2026. Assets under administration reached £19.5 billion in February, up 7% year-on-year.

For the first quarter of 2026, revenue was £274.2 million, up 2%. The company anticipates Q1 2026 revenue of approximately £300 million. For the full 2026 year, IG forecasts organic revenue growth at the upper end of mid-to-high single digits, with EBITDA expected to meet market consensus of £538.1 million.
