Fazzaco learned that Slice, a Bangalore-based financial technology startup, has raised $20 million in the latest funding round, which was led by Gunosy and Blume Ventures with participation from other existing investors.

With this funding, Slice is planning to increase the number of credit card users in India.

Founder and Chief Executive of Slice, Rajan Bajaj said that the company now has three million registered users. Additionally, Slice is bringing new rewards to its app.

"Slice's biggest advantage is how well they understand millennials and Gen Z. The Slice super card has the potential to fundamentally change the way the next generation thinks about the concept of credit cards altogether and we are glad to be a part of their growth story," said Shinji Kimura, chairman and CEO, Gunosy Inc.

Fazzaco recently reported that many fintech companies have received funding to accelerate their growth. Deserve, the US-based fintech firm, has secured $50 million in the latest Series D funding round. Blockfills, a disruptive financial technology firm, recently announced the completion of a multi-million dollar funding round.
