Industry Veteran Andrew Gibson Joins SGT Markets in Senior Liquidity and Business Development Role

FX industry veteran Andrew Gibson has joined offshore retail FX and CFDs broker SGT Markets as a senior member of its Business Development and Liquidity Management team.

Gibson brings over three decades of experience in the financial markets, having held senior FX sales and product management roles at several well-known firms, including TraderTools, TradAir, ABN Amro Bank, FastMatch (now EuronextFX), Refco, and BCS Financial.

Most recently, he served as Head of Institutional Sales at Alfa Capital Markets in Cyprus before the company wound down its European operations in 2022 following EU sanctions against Russia. He also previously led product development for FX and CFDs at Tavira Securities in Dubai, where he helped the firm establish a brokerage business targeting institutional clients.

SGT Markets is operated by Sterling Gent Trading Ltd, a British Virgin Islands–licensed entity, and is led by Florida-based Co-Founder and CEO Martyn Price.

In a statement posted on social media, SGT Markets CFO Peter Kristensen announced the appointment, noting that Gibson’s addition would strengthen the firm’s liquidity and business development efforts. “We are very excited that Andrew has joined the team at SGT Markets,” Kristensen wrote. “I am confident that with Andrew adding his expertise, we will be able to accelerate our growth and unlock new opportunities.”
