Infinox Suspends Institutional CFD Activity Amid Compliance Review

Infinox, a liquidity provider and technology partner for institutional CFD brokers, has temporarily suspended new trading activity for several brokers due to potential breaches of market conduct standards. At least one broker has also experienced blocked withdrawals, though existing open positions remain unaffected.

The suspension follows an investigation triggered by external auditors flagging certain trades. Infinox cited "Clause 5" of its client agreement, which allows the company to pause trading activity while reviewing potential regulatory or compliance concerns. An Infinox representative said, "We identified trading activity that was manipulative, abusive, and incompatible with the expected standards of fairness and transparency. We acted swiftly and decisively to protect the integrity of our platform."

Affected brokers expressed frustration at the move. Farimah Zabihi, Business Development Manager at ScoreCM, posted on LinkedIn: "Recently, our trading activity was suspended without explanation, withdrawals were blocked, and open positions left unmanaged. The only reference given was Clause 5.1 of the client agreement, which provides no justification for such action."

Several brokers reportedly fear operational disruption, especially those relying solely on Infinox for liquidity. Infinox stressed that it is working closely with legal counsel and relevant authorities to resolve the matter and reiterated its commitment to safeguarding platform integrity and client interests.

The company operates its prime services under the IXO Prime brand, regulated in Mauritius and Anguilla, and earlier this year appointed Lee Holmes as CEO of Infinox Global. Industry observers note that the case highlights the delicate balance liquidity providers must maintain between compliance enforcement and client relationships in institutional markets.
