Institutional Spot FX Trading Volume Total Sees A M-o-M 10.40% Rise in August

The institutional spot FX trading volumes of major platforms have seen all-round rise last month. Among the six major institutions, Saxo Bank has been excluded since they decided to stop updating all of their client trading data last month, so we will only be publishing the spot ADV of the other five, of which the total sees a 10.40% rise monthly. The max. rise comes from CME EBS, up 16.21%. The trading volume details of each are as follows:

Cboe FX
In August 2024, Cboe FX's spot ADV increased from US$44.56 billion in July to US$49.88 billion, a 11.94% increase. The year-on-year comparison shows a 21.48% rise from US$41.06 billion of August 2023.
Euronext FX
In August 2024, Euronext FX's spot ADV increased from US$25.34 billion in July to US$29.02 billion, the m-o-m increase is 14.52%. The year-on-year comparison shows a 28.98% rise from US$22.5 billion of August 2023.
FxSpotStream
In August 2024, FxSpotStream's spot ADV increased from US$68.4 billion in July to US$73.16 billion, up 6.96%. The year-on-year comparison shows a shocking 52.29% rise from US$48.04 billion of August 2023.
360T
In August 2024, 360T's spot ADV increased from US$30.78 billion in July to US$31.02 billion, a 0.78% m-o-m rise. The year-on-year comparison shows a 20.61% rise from US$25.72 billion of August 2023.
CME EBS
In August 2024, CME EBS's spot ADV increased from US$61.7 billion in July to US$71.7 billion, up 16.21%. The year-on-year comparison shows a 37.36% rise from US$52.2 billion of August 2023.
