Institutional Spot FX Trading Volume Total Sees A M-o-M 3.58% Drop in September

The institutional spot FX trading volumes of major platforms have seen all-round decline across September 2024. Among the five major institutions, the total sees a 3.58% drop monthly. The max. drop comes from CME EBS, down 6.38%. 360T is the only growth monthly with a mere 1.42% growth. The trading volume details of each are as follows:

Cboe FX
In September 2024, Cboe FX's spot ADV decreased from US$49.88 billion in August to US$46.7 billion, a 6.38% decrease. The year-on-year comparison shows a 3.02% rise from US$45.33 billion of September 2023.
Euronext FX
In September 2024, Euronext FX's spot ADV decreased from US$29.02 billion in August to US$27.58 billion, the m-o-m decrease is 4.96%. The year-on-year comparison shows a 15.16% rise from US$23.95 billion of September 2023.
FxSpotStream
In September 2024, FxSpotStream's spot ADV decreased from US$73.16 billion in August to US$72.02 billion, down 1.56%. The year-on-year comparison shows a 37.97% rise from US$52.2 billion of September 2023.
360T
In September 2024, 360T's spot ADV increased from US$31.02 billion in August to US$31.46 billion, a 1.42% m-o-m rise, which is the only rise in September. The year-on-year comparison shows an 8% rise from US$29.13 billion of September 2023.
CME EBS
In September 2024, CME EBS's spot ADV decreased from US$71.7 billion in August to US$67.9 billion, down 5.3%. The year-on-year comparison shows a 27.15% rise from US$53.4 billion of September 2023.
