Interactive Brokers adds overnight trading condition support to TWS API

Electronic trading major Interactive Brokers continues to enhance its TWS API, adding the new conditionsIncludeOvernight field to the Order object, allowing orders with conditions to include overnight trading sessions when evaluating conditional criteria.

The protocol buffer (.proto) files have been improved with descriptions for all fields, simplifying development and integration efforts.

Recently, the TWS API was released as open source under the GNU General Public License (GPL), offering developers greater transparency and flexibility.

A new Settlement Type field has been added to Contract Details, enabling users to view settlement information directly within contract data.

The trading-oriented API supports development in C++, C#, Java, Python, ActiveX, RTD, and DDE, and offers prebuilt libraries to automate TWS UI features or build custom interfaces.
