Interactive Brokers' Client Accounts Number Grows in November 2023, Up 21.7% MoM

Interactive Brokers, a US-based automated global electronic broker, unveiled its Electronic Brokerage monthly performance metrics for November 2023, showing the number of client accounts jumped 21.7% on a month-on-month basis (MoM).
Trading Overview for November 2023:
Daily Average Revenue Trades (DARTs) registered 1.898 million for the month, 2.8% lower than 1.952 million in November 2022 and 1.9% lower than 1.934 million in October 2023.
Ending client equity came in at $404.3 billion, up 27.4% compared to $317.3 billion in the same period of 2022 and up 10.1% compared to $367.2 billion in the prior month.
Ending client margin loan balances rose by 7.7% from $39.2 billion to $42.2 billion on a year-on-year basis (YoY), and basically even with $42.1 billion in October of this year.
Ending client credit balances stood at $101.3 billion, including $3.6 billion in insured bank deposit sweeps, up 5.5% YoY (November 2022: $96.0 billion) and up 4.8% MoM (October 2023: $96.7 billion).
Number of client accounts grew by 21.7% from 2.07 million in the year-ago month to 2.52 million, a slight increase of 1.6% compared to 2.48 million in the previous month.
Average commission per cleared Commissionable Order of $3.21 including exchange, clearing and regulatory fees. While the metric for the prior month was $3.16.
