cdfaa86de64fd9d9bedb44849969ce9.jpegInteractive Brokers has introduced stablecoin-based funding for eligible clients of its U.S. brokerage unit, allowing users to deposit funds and begin trading within minutes, the company said. The feature operates around the clock, including weekends and public holidays, and is designed to speed up access to global markets.

Under the new arrangement, clients can send USD Coin from their crypto wallets to a secure wallet set up in partnership with digital asset infrastructure provider zerohash. Once received, the stablecoins are automatically converted into U.S. dollars and credited to the client’s brokerage account. Interactive Brokers said it plans to add support for additional stablecoins, including Ripple’s coin and PayPal’s coin, in the near term.

Milan Galik, Chief Executive Officer of Interactive Brokers, said the move is intended to improve flexibility for international investors. “Stablecoin funding provides international investors with the speed and flexibility required in today’s markets. Clients can transfer funds and begin trading within minutes, while also reducing transaction costs,” he said.

The company noted that traditional cross-border funding methods can be slow and costly, particularly in regions where U.S. dollar wire transfers rely on multiple correspondent banks. By contrast, stablecoin transactions typically settle almost instantly and are not limited by standard banking hours.

Alongside the announcement, Interactive Brokers reported that its clients posted strong performance in 2025. Individual clients recorded an average return of 19.2%, compared with a 17.9% gain for the S&P 500 Index. Hedge fund clients achieved an average return of 28.91%.

By year-end, the firm had 4.399 million client accounts holding $779.9 billion in equity, with retail trading activity remaining elevated throughout the year. Interactive Brokers attributed client performance to factors such as lower trading costs, execution quality, and access to a wide range of global markets.
