Interactive Brokers enhances IBKR Connector by adding new tools and capabilities

Electronic trading major Interactive Brokers has expanded the IBKR Connector with new tools and capabilities to help traders manage and create watchlists.

The update enables users to create new watchlists, add or remove symbols from existing ones, view all symbols within a watchlist, and review a list of all their watchlists.

In addition, clients can now create instructions for option-plus-option combo strategies using GenAI, allowing them to describe their options trading strategy in natural language to receive AI-generated options that match their criteria, which then appear in their IBKR platform for confirmation and conversion into live orders.

IBKR clients can connect their accounts to supported AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Grok via the IBKR connector available in each platform’s app store or integration marketplace.

Once connected, users can ask questions in natural language and receive personalized responses based on their account data, such as “What’s my P&L today?” or “The market is volatile. How can I make my portfolio more defensive?” The AI platform leverages the connected IBKR account information and the user’s chosen large language model to provide relevant insights, enabling efficient, conversational access to account data.
